2009 Big South Conference Champions
Winthrop captured its 4th Big South Confer-
ence Championship with a 2-1 victory over
third-seeded Liberty thanks to goals by Stephen
Nsereko and Matthew Skonicki, who each set
up the others goal. Junior Miquel Casajuana was
named the Big South Tournament Most Valuable
Player as he netted the game-winning penalty in
the first two games of the tournament.
